Hiroyuki Aruga is the CEO of DBPowers Co., Ltd., with over 25 years of FileMaker development experience and multiple presentations at FileMaker DevCon and Claris Engage. Alongside delivering solutions across healthcare, retail, and education, he teaches problem-solving with FileMaker at ten universities and high schools to empower the next generation. Outside of tech, Hiroyuki is a self-proclaimed, passionate tap dancer.
Paul Baker has been working with FileMaker since 2008, and has spent the last 5 years as a full-time developer at Digital Fusion in Melbourne, Australia. He is deeply end-user focused, believing that a system's interface is the only connection most users will ever have to the data underneath and that great software should adapt to how people work, not the other way around. This human-centred philosophy drives every solution he builds, and he enjoys the challenge of finding an approach that fits each client's business needs.
Mick is a consultant with Goya, working closely with clients to understand how they really work and what they actually need.
Before software consulting, Mick spent 20 years behind the scenes in live entertainment — sound, light, mech, tech, you name it, he was there. Things not going to plan and recovering without the audience knowing was part of everyday life. His approach to modern business operations and advice to clients stems from that age-old saying: “The Show must go on.”
To relax, Mick loves to train at his local Muay Thai gym, can be seen kitesurfing at the beach, or happily at home playing board games.

Paul is a veteran of over 20 years at Digital Fusion, specialising in integrating FileMaker with other systems such as web sites, accounting and storefront APIs, plug-ins and add-ons.
He heads up Digital Fusion University (DFU), which keeps the team's developers sharp, sharing best practices and running hands-on workshops on advanced topics. The emergence of AI technologies is an example of the continuing need for all FileMaker developers to continue to learn in order to make the most of the tools they have available.
He also refines his tools and techniques in his downtime, painting wargaming miniatures and running games with his two boys.

Dr Susan Saunders has had a long association with FileMaker from the 1980s, being used extensively to assist in managing her own business enterprises. These uses include for solar power supply systems, developing solar water pumping solar drive systems from scratch (Suntron Energy Company), a temporary staff agency (MacForce), management consultancy for small to medium sized businesses (Business in Control), consulting to stock market traders, and accounting and administration for managed investment schemes (A4 Funds and now Bardak Ventures).
Darrin Southern is a Claris FileMaker Developer and Consultant based in Melbourne, Australia, and founder of CadenceUX. Over twenty years of crafting FileMaker based solutions is the foundation behind his current passion projects: AI integration in FileMaker, and building and maintaining Claude.ai skills for the Claris FileMaker community — accurate, context-aware AI assistance instead of hallucinations. Outside of AI, he can be found on his bike riding along the local Beach Road.
I fell into FileMaker development when I was a primary school teacher on some remote off-shore islands of New Zealand, and the Claris platform has been part of my working life ever since. I've spoken at numerous previous DevCons, as well as a growing number of community-organised conferences around the world and online.
The majority of the work that I do these days is helping other FileMaker developers integrate their, and their clients', solutions with external services, be that building a web application, exposing an API, interacting with external systems, or often all of the above!
When I'm not working I spend time walking, travelling and have been on a number of long-distance cycling trips around the world.
Stuart has spent the best part of 35 years in sales. His resume reads like a frequent flyer's fever dream — newspapers, web development, Qantas, British Airways — before he finally found somewhere worth staying put: Digital Fusion, where he's been Client Manager for the past 14 years.
Stuart doesn't have a technical bone in his body — while everyone else is talking scripts and schemas, he's the one making sure the clients are looked after, understood, and never left on hold, a skill honed by decades of turning “I have a problem” into “I have a solution.”
Outside of work, Stuart's happiest with a good coffee in hand, a craft beer waiting, and some sport on in the background — ideally all three at once.
