Speakers

We are looking for dynamic speakers to share their expertise in the Claris Platform at Reconnect.Brisbane 2024. The conference will take place on 5–6 September 2024.

Why speak at Reconnect.Brisbane?
Reconnect.Brisbane is the only Claris conference in the Asia Pacific region. It is a gathering of FileMaker developers and users from across the region. The conference provides a forum for Claris users to reconnect and share what they have been doing over the past year. Expert speakers will provide a wealth of insights that you can take back to your workplace to further your innovation and solutions.

As an expert speaker at Reconnect.Brisbane, you have the opportunity to make a real difference in the way other Claris developers work, as well as building your profile as an expert in your field.

All presenters will receive complimentary admission to Reconnect.Brisbane. There are no presenter fees payable, or costs for travel and accommodation.

What are we looking for?
We want to present new and innovative content for Reconnect.Brisbane attendees. We welcome applications from all levels of Claris developer to share your unique insights. There is a strong preference for content that:

• contains new and innovative ideas
• has a unique take on the latest trends to inspire and educate
• shows engagement and enthusiasm on the topic
• provides clear action points for attendees
• has been well structured for the presentation

While you do not have to be an experienced presenter, you must be confident to present your material to an audience of up to 200 of your peers. You should also be prepared to discuss your presentation and ideas with other attendees. We can provide guidance in content, structure and presentation skills. All presenters will be paired up with a "Reconnect buddy" to help review and refine presentations before the conference, and we will work with all speakers to help them deliver the best possible session.

What should you present?

The Reconnect.Brisbane program will be structured around the following broad areas:

• AI – this is the big new shiny thing right now and Claris are releasing new features
• Customer Case Studies – looking at problems solved, return on investment, and innovation
• Deployment (desktop and mobile) – getting solutions out to the end users
• Development Processes – how do you produce the best solution to a problem?
• Innovative Techniques – do you have a method or process that would be useful to others?
• Integrations – no solution is an island, there are many ways to connect and add value.
• Testing & Performance – how do you check it works as designed, and is it the most performant?
• UX – user experience is key to great solutions, so how do you do that?

As such, your submission should fit with one or more of these areas. If you are unsure, just ask David Head. As suggested above, we are looking for practical, real world content that will inspire and motivate attendees.
